Hi, just checking out your page. Love the clean look of it. The styling and structure of your shrine pages is so cool. I did not look at the Persona 2 shrine since i still need to play it, but the D.Gray-man and Omniscient Reader Viewpoint ones catched my eyes. I def need to check them out. btw, added your button to my site.

Haiiiii yr website looks so so cool! I was wondering how did u do the calendar page?

Replied on: May 5, 2026 at 12:31:47 AM

hi frances thank you i see that you're a fellow journalist too! well, it uses javascript which sucks but is helpful, plus json/arrays in js for storing the journal entries.. i was inspired by https://dreamscape.place/calendar calendar though theirs is much simpler and for statuses it seems, you can check that out too they don't allow copying iirc, though honestly i don't mind sharing is caring you can take the whole thing without crediting me, if anything it'd make me happy if it helps with your recovery journal & writing daily..... that is if you manage to figure it out bc i haven't touched the logic in a long while now lol all the entries are on my site idk databases, and the its js file is getting way too long but the benefits is that you can update it very easily and have everything in one place, plus it doesn't show on neocities feed which if that makes u anxious like me so thats a nice loophole there's a secret admin mode by clicking the moon emoji 3 times it allows u to write an entry and save or delete it from the site directly. it saves the text to your browser's Local Storage (meaning it's saved on your specific device/browser, but nobody else on the internet can see it yet, nice to comeback to edit or add to it) u can also click the "copy scroll code" (funny names i know i wanted it to sound like an analog journal) the code grabs your draft from Local Storage and formats it perfectly into a JS object. afterwards you open the journal.js file, paste that code into the PERMANENT_RECORDS section, and upload the updated file to your website. voila journal easily updated, disadvantages. the grid of journal.html doesnt look good on desktop i keep on messing it up and havent had the time or the energy to make it better since it looks good on my phone here's the journal.html https://file.garden/aX2GyiOMiUpCAxsu/journal.html and journal.js https://file.garden/aX2GyiOMiUpCAxsu/journal.js i tried annotating stuff here and there in case it helps, and i may or may not have a txt with more explanations that i wrote before, dont rmemeber much now ugh but i hope it helps i edited it briefly for easier read https://file.garden/aX2GyiOMiUpCAxsu/journal.txt these two are good resources for javascript https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript https://www.w3schools.com/js/default.asp https://eloquentjavascript.net/ ^ nice book they explain things in detail https://www.crunchzilla.com/code-maven ^ a site for practising js ive seen these two too but havent checked them yet https://www.javascripttutorial.net/ https://javascript.info/ not to forget u can connect it to your main page, and have the script read the latest date on your entries and update that in the main page so people know if your journal is updated or not it's in journal.js too, but the bits to connect to your index, for example are these — the js (in ur main page) <script src="journal.js"></script> <script> window.onload = () => { if(typeof updateHomeTimestamp === 'function';) updateHomeTimestamp(); }; </script> — the div/html (also in your main page) <div class="library-stamp"> <p>ACCESSIONED: <span id="updateDate">...</span></p> </div> — and the css, which u can customize if u want mine looks like stamp (can be on the main page or your style.css) .library-stamp { border: 2px solid var(--stamp-red); color: var(--stamp-red); padding: 5px 10px; width: fit-content; font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace; text-transform: uppercase; transform: rotate(-2deg); opacity: 0.7; margin-top: 20px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 0.8rem; } i hope it works well for you <3

hiya malloy! really appreciate that feedback i was unsure if it's suitable or not, some on the aro or ace spectrum aren't that fond of romance and while i'd not say i'm fond of it either the overall name and theme was chosen as being ironic, and kinda witch-y also omg? tyy?? im not a writer at all that is a big compliment <3 yes, i had noticed love sites that are easily seen on mobile, keep it up yours is cool too! neat shape soul, in a blink it's gone 😉

You state your site is a "broken, messy WIP" but I don't really think these first two adjectives are true (and it could be said that every site's a WIP); your site is very elegant and organized. Besides, I like your shrines, specifically the Persona 2 one. When someone talks about the Persona series, their focus is usually on the trilogy that started with Persona 3, so it's rare to see something written about the games prior.

hi aldermaster! thank you, tbf , i haven't noticed that paragaph in a long while.. kinda got used to it to the point of not even reading it glad you enjoyed them, P2 is a cool underrated game! i've seen your site but sadly dunno Portuguese, not sure if google translate will do your poems justice but they seem interesting 👀

a little late, but thanks for adding me to the webring - you’re so kind!! feels kinda odd to know that people are actually looking at my stuff, although it’s nice too, haha. I’ve never seen shrines quite as creative as yours, you can feel the passion put into each one. I loved reading through your journal (what a thing to say!) and lists, and I’ll definitely be stealing stuff from your gallery.

hi moth! nws i'll hopefully still be around even if you were late, it's nice to meet other aro or aces so thank *you* for joining interesting band name, never heard of them just listened to "drown" and it reminds me of silent hill 2's main theme, the instrumental specifically haha thank you, definitely relatable to realise that people *are* looking at what you put out there, glad you enjoyed the shrines *and* the journal feel free! stealing is good :D

omggg I loved reading the untamed shrine!!! I watched all the adaptions and read the novel back in 2020! I 100% agree that the OST was sooooo good!! It honestly changed my life and every time I hear the ost I become emotional LOL

Replied on: March 2, 2026 at 6:06:43 AM

hiya! happy to hear that! wow that's impressive i've only seen the cdrama and i *am* trying to read the novel but i keep on dropping it lol though it is good the osts are built different, it's not everyday that a drama has a banger list of osts, and honestly same yes the anime and the novel seem good but there's nothing like the untamed's charm, idk where we would be without being able to hear wuji and the yearness in it 🤕
